The Collections

Our collections cover two main areas:

Furnishings for the cottage – everything that might have been found in a weaver’s cottage in the early 20th century.

Textile industry – examples of tools and equipment used to create textiles and examples of the finished cloth.  This of course includes a fully working handloom and much of this material would also have been found in a working weaver’s cottage.
